Join our team and become a Breast Health Centre volunteer.

Volunteers at the Breast Health Centre:

  • Work alongside the Centre’s staff to promote a friendly and caring environment
  • Greet clients and take them to an examination room
  • Ensure examination rooms are tidy after each visit
  • Check supplies
  • Complete office duties such as putting education packages together, photocopying or restocking pamphlets

Mature females who are committed to respecting personal health information are encouraged to apply. If you’re able to commit to one 3 or 4 hour shift on a weekly basis or are interested in volunteering on a casual basis, we are interested in hearing from you.

If you are interested, you will be interviewed and screened by the WRHA Volunteer program. You will be screened based on what your role will be and you will meet with the volunteer coordinator at the Breast Health Centre. You will be asked to fill out an application form, provide reference checks and complete a pledge of confidentiality. If accepted, you will be oriented to the program and what you need to do as a volunteer.
