COVID-19 Prompts Changes to HSC Scattering of Ashes Ceremony

Current COVID-related public health orders in place for the City of Winnipeg restrict gathering sizes to a maximum of 10 people. As a result, the HSC Scattering of Ashes ceremony previously re-scheduled for Oct. 20, 2020 at Brookside Cemetery will not take place as planned.

In order to provide families with the ability to host their own private service in honour of their baby, a Scattering of Ashes ceremony will be held privately and recorded for families. The recording will be available for families in early November. Those wishing to receive a copy of the ceremony recording can contact our Spiritual Health office at 204-787-4877.

Families are welcome to download the ceremony program here and host their own service to honour their baby in a place of their choosing.
