Shared Health Supply Chain’s responsibilities include acquiring all diagnostic imaging equipment along with lab equipment and related consumables for Manitoba’s five Regional Health Authorities. Supply Chain also fulfills the acute care, continuing care and facilities management contracting requirements of the Regional Health Authorities, except for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
Shared Health utilizes the United Nations-recommended UN Model Procurement Law in the form of Non-Binding Negotiated (NBN) competitive bid documents. Not only is the NBN format non-binding, it is revocable and governed under the General Law of Contracts rather than Canadian Competitive Bid Law.
As a public sector entity, Shared Health is subject to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, the Canada – European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement and the New West Partnership Trade Agreement.
